TRANSFERRED TO CASTIRES, HELPING RANDY BUILD A HOUSE & MEGAN SHOULD BE BAPTIZED THIS SATURDAY!

Zone Conference... and Domino's Pizza

My week went well... kind of different this week which is good. I went down to Castries which is like a "huge city". Aha. Cause View Fort is kind of small and ghetto. I got a new camera... and we had zone conference. We talked about how we can help these people more. Like what has been going well and some struggles we've been having and everyone helps each other out. It was a good time. (:

Other than that, Kennedy, the guy we teach who wants to quit smoking, is making progress. He's still smoking but says he's been cutting back and praying and has less of an urge. We are helping him work through it, and it will make his baptism an amazing day. (: We still haven't been able to meet with his family, but hopefully this week. We're helping this guy named Randy build a house. (Cause I'm so experienced in that, aha). He's so funny, though. He's in the picture I sent you last week from the beach. (: Patrice... she's kept the Word of Wisdom. Every little part of it. But we've found out she's living with this guy who literally sleeps there and pays for one child. We're working with her on that. Megan should be baptized this Saturday (: Pray that all goes well. Aha.

I love you and thank you for everything.

CLIMBING COCONUT TREES, HAVING FAMILY HOME EVENING LESSONS ON THE BEACH AT SUNSET... IT'S A ROUGH LIFE.

Getting some coconuts!

Hey, so I'm emailing on Tuesday this week because yesterday was St. Lucia's Independence Day, and everything was closed. Aha.

So... my week was great. Kennedy missed church which was a bummer, but he wants us to start teaching the rest of his family now, too. The gospel is meant to bless families, so I'm pretty excited about that. We did find out, however, that he's not married to his girlfriend, so there's another thing we have to work on, but that's what I'm here fore, to help others prepare for baptism. (:

Megan is doing well. We had a family home evening with her and some friends and family on the beach. We waited to see the sun set and roasted marshmallows over a beach fire while Elder Miller and I taught a lesson. (: Good times. Patrice has been doing good, but her biggest problem is the Word of Wisdom... in every possible way... coffee, tea, rum, weed, tobacco, you name it. It was pretty surprising, but she told us she was just going to stop to be baptized. Pray for her and hope for the best. (:

Other than that, President Harrington is coming this week for Zone Conference, transfer calls are in two weeks (though I think I'm staying) and everything is still going super. (:

In other news, I found a pretty nice Canon camera. It works well and everything... I'll start sending more pictures again now (;

LEARNING PATIWA... GOD SENT ME TO AN ENGLISH SPEAKING MISSION FOR A REASON

I'm learning some patiwa. It's kind of like French, but I'm not good at it. God sent me to an English speaking mission for a reason. LOL! Kennedy is great! Quitting smoking has turned out to be a lot harder than he thought, so we gave him a priesthood blessing. He came to church which was great, and we're going to see him Wednesday. But, we might have to push back his baptism date to give him more time to quit smoking. He knows everything is true, he's so faithful and such a great guy. He wants to quit smoking, and he hates smoking, but it's just so hard. He said he's been smoking since he was 17, and he's 50 now. So, it's just become part of his life at this point.

Megan and Patrice are still good. We also met this guy named Emanuel. He's a husband and a father, super nice and interested. He's a police officer, though, so he works a lot. Just pray for him!

Love,

TRANSFERRED TO THE ISLAND OF ST. LUCIA, LIVING IN VIEW FORT, WORKING WITH A FEW INVESTIGATORS

I'm so tired, so hopefully this email will still make sense! I just didn't sleep well last night, but anywaysss! I'm in St. Lucia... It's like St. Vincent but with more money. Still a pretty poor country though. They speak "patiwa" here. I don't really know how to spell it, but it's kind of like French. But everyone else also speaks English... kind of... really broken English depending on how educated they are. Where I'm living (Vieux Fort) is kind of ghetto, but it's okay.

My week has been busy but nice. (: My new companion is Elder Miller. We're helping this guy named Kennedy give up smoking (: He's like 45 years old, and he says he's always wanted to quit but never really had the motivation or reason to until he started meeting with us and learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ. (: So, that was nice. We're still working with him, but I'll let you know how it goes. Just keep him in your prayers please. We also have Megan. She's a 16 year old girl. She has a friend named Shanika who is a member. She's pretty sweet. She's supposed to get baptized on March 5th. She knows the gospel is true. We are also teaching a lady named Patrice. She's 40, wants to get baptized and comes to church. We just want to make sure she understands everything a little better. I love helping and meeting and teaching these people.

Sorry for the short and lame emails. We have some serious computer problems.

Sounds like the home front is doing good, though! Love you!
