GETTING TRANSFERRED TO VIEW FORT, ST. LUCIA & RONICA AND BRIAN ARE GETTING BAPTIZED... SAD TO BE LEAVING ELDER T AND KINGSTOWN

Fight the man.

Me saying goodbye to the Lyttles
Me saying goodbye to by besties, Jessica... so sad.

So, yeah... I'm moving to View Fort, St. Lucia. I have mixed feelings... Obviously excited to go somewhere new, but honestly so sad to leave Kingstown and Elder T. I just wanted one more transfer here... sigh.. but my new companion's name is Elder Miller. We will just be normal missionaries.. so no more super nice car. He's been out a month more than me. Haven't met him yet, but I sure hope he's a stellar guy.

So, Ronica's baptism date is Feburary 13th. I'm so excited for her. She's great. We got Brian and Sister Hadaway's wedding papers! After 2 attempts, we got them. And they are getting married February 27th (: and Brian will be baptized the next week. Also excited for them! Elder T will send me pictures. (: Other than that, this week has been.. ehh.. Elder T is sick, which kept us in the house a little bit, but still, it's been a good week. (:

RONICA COMMITTED TO BE BAPTIZED & BRIAN AND SISTER HADAWAY ARE GETTING THEIR MARRIAGE LICENSE!

I thought this was a pretty cool picture (:

Our investigator, Ronica, is doing great! She's actually the main subject of this weeks email. aha. It's mostly good news. Ronica committed to being baptized while I was teaching her with one of the AP's. So, we set a date for a few weeks from now. Then she asked, "Elder Mikesell! You're going to be there to baptize me, right?" After telling her that I might be leaving in a week she was bummed, and I was too. So, I asked her if she thinks she will be ready for this Saturday. She was hesitant but said yes. But, Elder T and I are going to do the right thing and move her date back to next month because we are not sure if she's completely ready yet, and we don't want to rush or force her to get baptized too early if she's not ready. I'm bummed, and I hope I can stay here in Kingstown with Elder T one more transfer, but I'm not sure if that's going to happen. President Harrington is on the island right now until tomorrow, so I can always ask him to stay. But, either way, her eternal covenant with God is more important than who baptizes her. (:

Oh, also, Brian and Sister Hadaway are getting their marriage license tomorrow! So excited for them and for Brian's chance to work towards baptism after marriage. (:

I have to go now, so I can't reply to everything, but thank you for your support!

MY FIRST BAPTISM WAS AMAZING!

My first baptism. January 2, 2016. Kay

So, I know other stuff happened this week, but can we just talk about my first baptism? Aha, Kay was baptized on the 2nd, and it was amazing. It was such a spiritual experience just watching her become truly converted. She always came to church, read the Book of Mormon and prayed for her own answers. Her baptism was done by Brother Selmon (the 1st counselor in the Branch Presidency), and I was able to give her the gift of the Holy Ghost the next day. I'm grateful for the whole experience and excited to continue meeting with Sister Durrant... that sounds weird... I'm still going to call her Kay, aha.

I had a good Christmas here (: Lot's of food and messing around with my favorite missionaries all night in the apartment. We had the whole zone sleep over for Christmas, which was fun. Aha, I want to kill some fellow elders but most of them are pretty great.

In other news, I was able to be a witness for the sister missionaries baptism at the beach, so basically I got to go swimming (:

I have to go shopping and save souls, but I love you!
